Introducing the person behind the lens...

When
I was about 5 years old, I approached a camera left lying on a table,
and pushed the button. One
of those old blue flashbulbs went off and I had taken my first photograph. I
learned the power of images when I was 16 as an exchange student in
New Zealand. My father
gave me his 35 mm camera the night before I left for the yearŐs adventure. Upon
return to my small town in upstate New York, I realised how successful
communication became when using photographs. I
was hooked! During my years as a professional photographer, I honed my skills in a studio beside a lake in Maine, USA, where the loons sing in summer and snow drifts in winter. My husband, Paul, and I now live in Wanganui and we keep track of our grown children, Molly and Patrick, wherever they may roam.
